OMAHA, Neb. – Goals from

Jessie Huff and
Katie Shandri keyed a 3-2 Augustana exhibition win over Nebraska-Omaha Saturday afternoon in Omaha, Neb.
Goos scored the first goal of the day to break a 0-0 tie and give the Vikings an early 1-0 lead in the first half.
The Mavericks, however, did have an answer in the first half, knotting the game at 1-1.
Huff also found the back of the net during the first half to give the Vikings a 2-1 advantage.
Katie Bowman was credited with the assist.
Immediately after the second half was underway, UNO scored off a penalty kick to again tie the score.
Shandri was able to put the ball past the Mavericks later in the second half to give the Vikings a decisive 3-2 lead. The assist came from Goos.
“Today's win was a solid group effort," said head coach
Brandon Barkus. "It started fast, and we played solid Viking soccer."
The win caps a flawless 3-0 performance in exhibition contests for the Vikings.
Augustana travels to Durango, Colo., on Sept 4 to kick off the regular season against Mesa State (Colo.). The Vikings will also play Fort Lewis on Sept. 5.
