SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Stacy Dally found the back of the net twice to lead Augustana to a 2-1 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory over Wayne State Sunday afternoon in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The win improves the Vikings' record to 3-3-2 (2-0-1 NSIC). WSC  falls to 3-2-2 (0-1-2 NSIC).

Augustana racked up a total of nine shots in the first period, while WSU had eight. It was after four of the Vikings' unsuccessful shots that Dally was able to score from straight on at 16:04 off an assist by Kate Timmons.  Both the goal and the assist were the first of the season for the two players.  

With Augustana ahead 1-0, the Vikings were awarded a penalty kick from which Dally was able to sneak the ball past WSC's Emily Walker at just over 30 minutes into action.

Augustana's offense remained solid during the second period, forcing the Wildcats' goalkeeper to record four saves.

At 66:49, WSC scored on Augustana's Amanda Wagner. After the goal, Wagner made two saves to help halt the score at 2-1.

Dally, Stephanie Goos and Jessie Huff led the Vikings with three shots each.

Wagner recorded five saves during the match, she moves to 3-3-2.

Augustana's next match is in Fayette, Iowa against Upper Iowa Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.  On Oct. 3 the Vikings will travel to Winona, Minn. to play Winona State at 1 p.m.
