DURANGO, Colo. - Augustana could not muster a shot on goal all afternoon as Mesa State (Colo.) handed the Vikings a 1-0 season-opening loss Friday in Durango, Colo.
MSC scored the game's only goal with 29 minutes left in the first period after Daniela Ramierez converted on a rebound shot for what turned out to be the game-winning goal.
Augustana's offense struggled, managing just two shots in the loss.

Amanda Wagner made eight saves in the low-scoring affair. The Mavericks kept the sophomore busy, tallying nine shots on goal.
