DURANGO, Colo. - Fort Lewis scored in the 104th minute to break a scoreless tie and hand Augustana a 1-0 double-overtime loss Sunday afternoon in Durango, Colo.
The loss drops Augustana to 0-2; FLC improves to 2-0.
FLC's Hayley Hollenga scored 4:58 into the second overtime to lift her squad to the victory. The junior forward one-timed a pass from fellow junior Jane Barden for the game-winning goal.
FLC outshot Augustana 24-6 and won the shots-on-goal battle 8-2.
Amanda Wager recorded seven saves for the Vikings.
Augustana had a pair of scoring chances late in the game.
Stacy Dally's close-range shot was stopped by FLC goalkeeper Christine Scmelzle in the 65th minute, while
Maren Werth hit the cross bar in the 76th minute.
The Vikings continue play on the road on Tuesday, playing at Nebraska-Kearney at 7 p.m.
