Stacy Dally scored a pair of goals for Augustana to give the Vikings a 2-1 win over Concordia University, St. Paul Saturday afternoon in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference soccer.
It is Augustana's third-straight win to move to 10-7-0 (7-5 NSIC). The Golden Bears drop to 6-10-0 (5-7-0 NSIC).
Dally fired her first goal of the game in the 25th minute for her third goal of the season. A corner kick by
Ellie Westemeyer made its way to
Jessie Huff then to
Jessica Madson who knocked the ball to Dally. Both Huff and Madson are credited with the assist.
Augustana didn't keep its lead long as Brittany Kapala took a ball from Arielle Stimson right in front of the goal to knock the ball past
Amanda Wagner in the 38th minute.
A foul on CU gave the Vikings a penalty kick for Dally to score the game-winning goal for Augustana at 64:05 in the second period.
At 89:39, CU had its chance to tie the score as Kim Sauberlich blasted a ball at Wagner, but she recorded her third save of the game to help the Vikings to its victory.
Megan Kurtz tallied five saves for the Golden Bears.
The Vikings outshot CU 16-8. Huff led Augustana in shots with three.
Augustana returns to its home field tomorrow for the its last NSIC game against St. Cloud State at 1 p.m.
