SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - St. Cloud State scored its lone goal in the 26th minute of action to defeat Augustana 1-0 in the Vikings' final Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest of the season Sunday afternoon.
Augustana drops to 10-8-0 and finishes NSIC action 7-6-0. SCSU is 10-7-1 (7-5-1 NSIC).
Both team were offensively even in the first period, recording seven shots each but it was SCSU's Lara Moline who broke a scoreless tie at 25:07 to record the only goal of the game.
The Vikings recorded eight shots to SCSU's three in the second period but was unable to find the back of the net as Kenzie Hanzlik tallied three saves.
Hanzlik finished the game with five saves and
Amanda Wagner had one for Augustana.
Aleisha Oehlerking had four shots to lead the Vikings and
Jessie Huff recorded two shots on goal.
Pairings for the NSIC tournament will be released later this evening.
