SIOUX FALLS, S.D.
- Alex Feeney notched 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead Augustana to a 66-55 victory over Minot State in non-conference women's basketball Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings improve to 1-1, while MSU is now 2-3.

The double-double marks Feeney's second this season and sixth of her career.

Cami Koehn and Molly Hayes were also in double-digit scoring for Augustana with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Augustana and MSU remained closely knit to open the game but Koehn made a jumper at 12:03 to erase a 9-9 tie. The basket gave the Vikings the lead for the rest of the contest.

Emily Schulte finished the first half 2-7 from the field, recording back-to-back 3-pointers to extend the Vikings' lead to 27-19 at 5:34.

Augustana's last points of the half were netted by Feeney who tallied a pair of free throws with just under a minute left on the clock to put the Vikings ahead by six points.

MSU's free-throws cut the Beavers' deficit to 32-28 to end the half.

Augustana lengthened its advantage to 46-34 after opening the second half with a 14-6 run.

Hayes sunk a 3-pointer at 5:15, giving Augustana a 16-point lead, its largest of the afternoon.

The Beavers finished the game with a 6-2 run but the effort was not enough as Augustana outshot MSU 40.6 to 30.3 percent from the field in the half.

The Vikings shot 34.3 percent from the 3-point range in the contest, while the Beavers made just 1 of 7 3-pointers (14.3 percent).

MSU's Carly Boag led both team's with 23 points and 15 rebounds.

Augustana returns to the court next Saturday against Mount Marty for a 3 p.m. game.
