- Alex Feeney scored a game-high 20 points and Shaunteva Ashley added 17 points to help give Augustana a decisive 75-37 victory over Dakota State Tuesday evening.

It's the last non-conference game of the season for the Vikings as they improve to 3-1 overall. DSU remains 2-5 overall as the game was an exhibition contest for the Trojans.

Andrea Whitney led the Vikings with 11 rebounds.

The first half opened as a back-and-forth affair with the Vikings holding just a 4-2 advantage five minutes into play.

Augustana eventually found a rhythm midway through the half after Feeney made a layup to spark an 11-0 Viking run that gave Augustana a 24-10 lead with 4:14 left until the break. Feeney notched seven points in the run.

Feeney used the remaining four minutes in the half to record a 3-pointer and another two layups, while Cami Koehn added a layup of her own to give Augustana a 33-16 lead at the half.

Augustana held an 11-2 advantage in steals in the first half and the Vikings finished the game with 16.  

The Vikings continued to build on its double-digit lead in the second half as Emily Schulte pushed Augustana's lead to 44-23 after making a bucket in the paint with 10:55 remaining.

DSU was never able to cut its deficit by more than 17 points throughout the remainder of the game and the Vikings finished the game with a 38-point lead.

Turnovers were common among both teams but DSU led with 25 turnovers compared to Augustana's 16. The Vikings converted those turnovers into 22 points.

Augustana scored 32 of its points off the bench and DSU's bench had five points.

Jayda Swenson led the Trojans with 12 points. Katy Pillar had 10 points and 10 rebounds for DSU.

Augustana stays at home this weekend to begin conference action against Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State. The Vikings face SMSU Friday at 6 p.m.
