Three ties ensued before NSU took a 65-63 lead with 2:34 left in regulation. The Wolves would lead until McCaffrey's bucket tied the game.
But before the sophomore knotted the contest up, NSU's David Lane missed the second part of a double-bonus trip to the line after hitting his first attempt. A make would have put the Wolves up by three points with 15 seconds left.
The Vikings corralled the rebound, and McCaffrey found an opening on the baseline to tie the game with three seconds remaining.
NSU managed an in-bound pass, but nothing materialized on deep Wolf 3-pointer.
