AUGIE VS. SCSU BOX SCORE
ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Augustana kept its blemish-free record intact with a pair of wins over Southwest Minnesota State and St. Cloud State Saturday morning at the Husky Dome Classic in St. Cloud, Minn. The Vikings beat SMSU 9-4 and topped SCSU 10-0 in five innings.
Augustana improves to 7-0.

Chelsey Durland tossed all five innings and struckout seven batters. She moved to 3-0 with the victory.
Augustana poured in eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings to end the game early. The Vikings led 2-0 heading into the fourth.
Homers from Kalkman and
Brittany Coufal keyed the surge in the fourth inning, while additional home runs from Kalkman, Durland and
Taylor Kapsch did the bulk of the scoring in the fifth.
Kalkman finished with four RBIs, while
Jenny Brown contributed a 3-for-3 performance.
In Saturday morning's contest with SMSU, the Mustangs immediately had a four-run lead heading into the top of the second inning. But the Vikings scored nine unanswered runs from the bottom of the second inning on to complete a comeback win.
Durland had a 2 for 4 outing with a pair of RBIs to pace Augustana. Coufal also added two RBIs.
Ashley Meyer (3-0) worked a complete game, allowing four earned runs and fanning nine batters.
A Coufal double was largely responsible for Augustana's four-run second inning; however, four Mustangs errors aided the Viking offense in tying the contest at 4-4.
A double by Durland in the bottom of the third pushed in another two Viking runs, while a two-out single by
Theresa McMahon in the fifth added another two runs to push Augustana's lead to 8-4.
Fransen singled once more in the sixth to give her team a decisive 9-4 advantage.
This 7-0 start by the Vikings is the second straight season that Augustana has started the year with at least seven wins. Augustana began the 2010 campaign with 13 consecutive victories.
Augustana will play Northern State at 11 a.m. and Minnesota State Moorhead at 1 p.m. tomorrow to finish action at the Husky Dome Classic.
