Spanton was able to advance home on a wild pitch and Coufal had her second single of the afternoon to bring in the 7th Viking run.

RU's Emily Anderson had a homer to open the bottom of the seventh in an effort to make a comeback. It was not enough however, as it was the only hit Meyer allowed in the inning.
