Payton Pry and
Kate Timmons all recorded one goal to lead Augustana in a 3-0 victory over Minnesota, Crookston Saturday morning, closing out non-conference action for the season.
The Vikings have now won two games in a row to improve to 2-2-0. UMC is 0-3-0.
Augustana first struck at 21:46 off the Vikings' seventh corner kick of the game.
Stacy Dally fired the corner kick to Timmons who knocked the ball into the goal.
The Vikings continued to attack and it didn't take long for Oehlerking to find the back of the net.
Kara Bartels and Dally set up Oehlerking to dribble the ball down the middle of the field and kick it past UMC's Amanda Stapleton in the 37th minute of action.
At 66:34 in the second half, Pry was able to fire the ball into the back of the net off an assist from
Liz Bunkers.
Augustana was aggressive throughout the whole game, tallying 24 shots. UMC recorded 4.
Pry led the team with six shots, four on goal and
Maren Werth had five with three on goal.
Augustana's
Amanda Wagner made three saves, while Stapleton had 13 for the Golden Eagles.
Augustana will look to continue its winning ways Sept. 17 and 18 on the road for Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action. First up for the Vikings is Northern State at 1 p.m. followed by U-Mary at 1 p.m.
