BOX SCORE

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana's guard trio of Drae Murray, Cody Schilling and Cameron McCaffrey combined for 49 points as the Vikings cruised to an 89-70 victory over Concordia University, St. Paul Friday night in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men's basketball.

Augustana moves to 11-7 (8-6 NSIC); CU falls to 8-10 (5-9 NSIC).

Murray and Schilling both scored 18 points for Augustana, and McCaffrey added 13.  The back-court group also collaborated for eight assists.

The Vikings shot a season-high 57.7 percent (35 of 61) from the floor and also established a season-high from behind the arc, connecting on 10 of 14 (71.4 percent) 3-pointers.

CU, which was led by Peter Olafeso's 20 points, shot 52.9 percent (27 of 51) from the field.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Vikings and avenged a loss to the Golden Bears on Jan. 3.

Augustana led the entire game and owned as large as a 28-point advantage in the second half.

The Vikings closed the first half on a 17-4 run and led 53-31 at intermission.

Murray poured in 16 first-half points, and Augustana nailed 7 of 9 treys--four of them coming from Murray.

Augustana's offense continued to glide in the second half.  By the 9:46 mark, the Vikings held a 73-45 lead after stringing together a 16-4 surge that saw five different players score points.

From there, the closest CU would get was a 19-point difference.

Eleven Vikings made it into the scoring column in Augustana's biggest win (19 points) this season; 27 of the Vikings' 89 points came off the bench.

Schilling's 18 points moved the senior up another spot on the Augustana career scoring list. He passed Scott Beckstrand and now sits in fifth with 1,689 career points.

Augustana hosts No. 13 St. Cloud State tomorrow at 6:05 p.m.  The Huskies defeated the Vikings 86-61 earlier this month.
