SIOUX FALLS. S.D. - No. 10 Augustana (4-0) begins Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play against No. 9 Wayne State (3-0) on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls. This is the first game of a 22-game conference slate for the Vikings.
The two teams faced each other four times last year with Wayne State taking three of the four. Two of the losses were decided by three points, including a buzzer-beater in favor of the Wildcats in the NSIC Tournament Championship. That conference championship meeting also marked the last time both teams were ranked when they faced each other.
Augustana holds an 18-11 record in conference openers, including a 9-2 mark when played at the Elmen Center.
