REGION RANKINGS
INDIANAPOLIS - Augustana stayed at No. 9 in the latest Central Region rankings released Wednesday by the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee.
The Central Region is comprised of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
The Vikings have a Division II and in-region record of 14-9.
Colorado School of Mines, which is 21-2 in both Division II and in regional play, took over the top spot in this week's rankings, replacing Winona State.
Other NSIC schools in the top 10 include No. 2 WSU, No. 4 St. Cloud State, No. 5 MSU Moorhead, No. 6 Bemidji State and No. 7 Southwest Minnesota State.
The top-eight teams in the final region rankings advance to the NCAA tournament.
Augustana (15-9, 12-8 NSIC) finishes regular-season competition on the road this weekend, facing MSUM (18-6, 14-6 NSIC) on Friday at 8:05 p.m. and Minnesota, Crookston (7-17, 3-17 NSIC) on Saturday at 6 p.m.
