SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - No. 12 Augustana returns from a successful three-game road trip for a brief weekend home stand against University of Mary and Minot State. The Vikings are 12-2 on the season and regained sole possession of first place in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference standings with an 8-2 record.
U-Mary comes into the Elmen Center on Friday, Jan. 18 for a 6 p.m. showdown. The Marauders enter the weekend with an 11-5 overall record, 6-4 in the NSIC. Augustana last faced U-Mary in the semifinals of the NSIC tournament last March and the Vikings emerged victorious, 78-67.
Minot State will face the Vikings for just the second time when they come into Sioux Falls on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 4 p.m. The Beavers are 8-6 overall with a 4-6 record in their first year of NSIC competition. Augustana will look to move to 2-0 against Minot State after they defeated the Beavers 66-55 in last season's home opener.
