SIOUX FALLS, S.D.
- Augustana returns to the road hoping to start up another winning streak with two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference south division opponents this weekend. The Vikings (14-3, 6-3 NSIC) face Winona State (6-12, 3-6 NSIC) on Friday at 7 p.m. before traveling to face Upper Iowa (6-12, 2-7 NSIC) on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Vikings own a combined record of 25-6 against Winona State and Upper Iowa. However, Augustana did drop both matches last season to the Warriors and split against the Peacocks. The Vikings are looking to avenge their final regular-season losses of last season on a road trip that nearly knocked them out of the US Bank NISC tournament.

Augustana is looking to add a few names to its record book this weekend as All-American Holly Hafemeyer and head coach Ashley Buckley are approaching milestones. Hafemeyer sits just two kills shy of 1,000 for her career. With two kills, the senior middle blocker from Faribault, Minn. would be the 21st member of Augustana's kill club. Buckley needs two wins to become the fourth Augustana head coach to tally at least 100 wins in her career.

The Vikings are inching closer to achieving a Top 25 ranking in the American Volleyball Coaches Association coaches' poll. Augustana received 52 points after being placed on 11 ballots. Two voters gave the Vikings a ranking as high as 14. Augustana hasn't been ranked since Aug. 31, 2009 when they held the No. 25 spot in the second edition of the poll that season.
