SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana (18-6, 10-6 NSIC) closes out their regular-season home schedule with two matches that weigh heavily on the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference standings. The Vikings host MSU Moorhead (14-10, 7-9 NSIC) on Friday night at 7 p.m. and send off five seniors the following evening at 4 p.m. against No. 20 Northern State (19-4, 12-4) for senior day.
The Vikings can clinch one of the eight spots in the US Bank/NSIC Tournament with two wins and are within striking distance of being a top four seed which would guarantee a first-round match at home. With two wins and two Northern State losses, the Vikings can move into a tie for fourth place with NSU.
The Vikings continue to receive multiple votes in the AVCA coaches' poll, but for the fifth consecutive week, the Vikings remain in the receiving votes section of the poll. Augustana gathered 13 points in the ninth release of the poll and ranks 30th in Division II.
