• Augustana men's basketball (6-5, 3-2 NSIC) will close-out the 2013 calendar year this Saturday, Dec. 21, hosting Wayne State (4-5, 1-4 NSIC).
• Opening tip is set for 6 p.m. at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls.
• The Vikings will have an entire week off for holiday break before returning to action Jan. 3-4 at the University of Mary and Minot State.
• After this weekend, Augustana does not return to the Elmen Center until Jan. 10-11 when it hosts Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston.

• For the second time this season, Augustana sophomore forward
Casey Schilling has been named the NSIC's Player of the Week.
• Schilling averaged 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 3.5 steals last weekend.
• Schilling was named the league's player of the week after averaging 18 points and 11 rebounds in the first two regular season games of the year.
• That weekend, Schilling also posted career-highs in points, rebounds, blocks (5) and steals (5).
• Since then, Schilling has posted new career-highs in both points in rebounds.
• Schilling is the only player from Augustana to earn the award this season and is just the fourth difference player from Augustana to earn the award since joining the league in 2008.

• Augustana split a pair of NSIC contests at home last weekend, defeating Concordia-St. Paul 79-70 on Friday night and losing a close battle, 86-81, to 17th-ranked Minnesota State.

• Augustana started off the night slow from the field, hitting 2 of its first 9 shots in the game, but finished the game 22 of 58 (38 percent).
• Augustana out-rebounded Concordia-St. Paul 46-32 while grabbing 14 offensive rebounds in the game.
• Augustana used a 23-run between the final 1:47 of the first half and first few minutes of the second to pull away from the Golden Bears.
• On Saturday, Augustana missed two 3-pointers with less than 30 seconds to play that could have put the Vikings up by one but missed both.
• MSU sealed the win by hitting three of four free throw attempts in the final 15 seconds.
