SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 21 Augustana (21-8) is heading to the NCAA Tournament as the No. 3 seed in the Central Region and will play sixth-seeded Upper Iowa (20-11) Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Taylor Center in Mankato, Minn. Augustana is making its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and its fifth in the past six years.
Augustana is 8-12 all-time in NCAA postseason competition and has advanced to the Central Region championship game twice, first in 2008-09 and again in 2009-10.
The Central Region Tournament is being hosted by Minnesota State University, who earned the No. 1 seed in the region.
Quarterfinals - Saturday, March 16
Game 1: No. 3 seed Augustana vs. No. 6 seed Upper Iowa, 12 p.m.
Game 2: No. 2 seed Winona State vs. No. 7 seed Northeastern State, 2:30 p.m.
Game 3: No. 1 seed Minnesota State vs. No. 8 seed Arkansas Tech, 5 p.m.
Game 4: No. 4 seed Central Missouri vs. No. 5 seed Harding, 7:30 p.m.
