SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 24th-ranked Augustana women's basketball team (27-6), the 2013 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament and NCAA Central Region champions, makes its first ever appearance in the NCAA Elite Eight on March 26, 27 and 29 in San Antonio, Texas.
Augustana will open with the quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 26, facing No. 1-ranked Clayton State (32-0), the Southeast Region champion, at 12 p.m. CT at Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio. The winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal game will advance to the semifinals on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. CT to face the winner of Dowling (N.Y.)/Colorado Mesa.
