SIOUX FALLS, S.D.
- Augustana opens the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament against Winona State on Thursday, May 2 at 11 a.m. in Rochester, Minn.  The Vikings (30-13) earned the sixth seed and will face the Warriors (32-10), the No. 3 seed.

The Vikings were swept by the Warriors in their only meeting this season, a mid-week doubleheader on April 2.  Augustana still owns a 23-12 record against WSU in their series history. In NSIC tournament games, the Vikings are 1-1 against the Warriors and 3-1 against Winona State in the four postseason matchups between the two programs.

Augustana is making its fifth appearance in the NSIC tournament - they have qualified for the NSIC tournament each season since joining in 2008-09. Since the Vikings' inaugural NSIC postseason, the Vikings are 12-7, with three championship game appearances and a title in 2011.

Thursday's game will be the only contest of the day for the Vikings. If the Vikings win, they will play at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, but if the Vikings lose, they will play at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.
