SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana was awarded the No. 6 seed in the NCAA Central Region Tournament and they will face No. 3 seeded Minnesota State on Friday, May 10 at 11 a.m. The Vikings enter the NCAA postseason with a 32-15 record and the Mavericks are hosting with a 34-12 mark.
The winner of the first Central Region 2 semifinal will face the winner of No. 2 Southeastern Oklahoma State and No. 7 Winona State on Saturday. The tournament is double elimination and the two losers will also play each other on Saturday with the championship set for Sunday.
Augustana owns a 41-38 record all-time in their NCAA postseason history. The Vikings advanced to the NCAA Championships last season before falling to eventual national champion Valdosta State. The Vikings did win the NCAA title in 1991.
