SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana (8-2, 0-2 NSIC) looks to right the ship after dropping its first two matches of the year and opening the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with two losses. The Vikings travel to Wayne, Neb. to face No. 8 Wayne State (9-1, 1-1 NSIC) for a 7 p.m. match on Sept. 24.
The Vikings are coming off two consecutive losses and are now facing their second top 10 team in three matches. Augustana holds a 21-14-1 edge over the WSC Wildcats, including an 18-match winning streak from 1982 to 2004. Wayne State has won 10 of the past 13 matches, including two last season.
Augustana will close out a busy week by hosting two NSIC North Division opponents. The Vikings welcome the University of Mary on Friday at 7 p.m. and Minot State on Saturday at 4 p.m.
