SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana (9-2, 1-2 NSIC) continues the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular season with two North Division opponents this weekend. The Vikings welcome the University of Mary (3-7, 0-3 NSIC) for a Friday-night match at 7 p.m. in the Elmen Center then close the weekend with Minot State (6-6, 2-1 NSIC) on Saturday at 4 p.m.
The Vikings are have a combined record of 12-0 against U-Mary and Minot State. In last season's match against the Marauders, the Vikings allowed an average of 10.3 points per set in their sweep. The Vikings are 9-0 against u-Mary and 3-0 in matches with Minot State.
The Vikings' Tuesday-night win over No. 8 Wayne State was the second time Augustana has defeated the Wildcats on their home court while they were ranked in the AVCA top 10 -- the last was in 2011 when the Vikings beat WSC in five sets. It was also the first sweep of Wayne State since Sept. 20, 1997.
