SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana College men's basketball team (4-0) returns to action with a non-conference match-up with Presentation College (2-0) on Saturday, Nov. 22. The Vikings and Saints will tip-off from the Elmen Center at 5 p.m. Augustana will then take Sunday off before opening Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Monday, Nov. 24.
The Vikings welcome Wayne State College (1-2) to the Sioux Falls Arena at 8 p.m. on Monday as the two teams will open conference play against each other for the third straight season. Augustana has won three straight conference-opening games, including last season's 70-45 win at Wayne State on Nov. 25.
Augustana is 3-3 in NSIC openers since joining the league in 2008-09 and 4-7 in conference openers under
Tom Billeter. The Vikings lead the all-time series against the Wildcats owing an all-time record of 22-14 against WSC. Augustana has won 12 of the last 15 meetings between the two teams, including sweeping the season series last year.
The Vikings were last in action on Wednesday night in a non-conference game against Dakota State at the Arena. Augustana downed the Trojans 95-51, picking up 90-plus points in its second straight game.
Augustana has won four straight games after opening the season with two wins over MIAA opponents in the Sanford Pentagon Basketball Showcase and big wins over Mayville State and Dakota State.
