SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 11 Augustana College men's basketball (7-0, 1-0 NSIC) will play away from Sioux Falls for the first time this season when the Vikings take on No. 13 Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul on the road this weekend. Augustana and Minnesota State will tip-off from the Taylor Center in Mankato, Minn. at 8 p.m. Friday night.
The Vikings will then travel to St. Paul, Minn. to square-off with Concordia-St. Paul at the Gangelhoff Center at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Augustana and Minnesota State will be playing for the 111th time since the first meeting in 1933. Augustana is 52-58 all-time against MSU and has lost four straight to the Mavericks. Augustana's last win over MSU came at the Taylor Center on Jan. 26, 2013.
Augustana is 12-5 all-time against Concordia-St. Paul and has won five straight games over the Golden Bears.
The Vikings enter the week ranking first in the NSIC and 22nd in the country averaging 88.6 points per game. Augustana leads the NSIC and ranks 12th in the country out-scoring its opponents by 22.4 points per game while leading the league and ranking third in the NCAA with a +16.4 rebounding margin. Augustana has dished out 18.1 assists per game, which leads the NSIC and ranks 32nd in the nation.
