Storylines
• The Vikings are set for their home opener on Thursday evening.
• Augustana will take on Wayne State in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.
• This will also be the Vikings first NSIC game of the season.
• Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m at Morstad Field.
• Augustana heads back on the road for a matchup with Missouri Western State on Sunday at 12 p.m.
• The game will be played at Spratt Memorial Stadium in St Joseph, Mo.

Series History
• This will be the 11th meeting between the Vikings and the Wildcats on Thursday.
• Augustana leads the overall series 6-3-1.
• Head Coach Brandon Barkus has a career record of 5-0-1 against the Wildcats while coach of the Vikings.
• Augustana has won or tied the last seven meetings between the teams.
• The Vikings and the Griffons meet up for the first time  ever on Sunday.

Vikings Pick Up Split on Opening Weekend
• Augustana opened the year on the road this past weekend.
• The Vikings went 1-1 against the top two Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association teams.
• Augustana opened its season with 2-0 loss to Central Missouri on Friday at Jennies Field.
• It was the first time that the Vikings had been shutout since a 1-0 loss to Upper Iowa on Oct. 26 of last season.
• The Jennies used a quick start to jump out to a 2-0 within the first 30 minutes of the game.
• Augustana never could get its offense going, finishing the night with eight shots in the loss.
• The Vikings bounced back in a big way on Sunday with a 5-2 win over Southwest Baptist.
• Augustana's Payton Pry was the start, tying a career high with two goals scored in the contest.
• It was the third game in Pry's career that she has scored multiple goals in a match.
• Samantha Arnold netted her first collegiate goal with 11 seconds remaining in the first half. Fellow freshman Samantha Tymkowicz picked up her first career assist on the play.
• Arnold took a pass from Tymkowicz and drilled a shot past the keeper from the right side of the box.
• Southwest scored the next two goals, cutting the Viking lead to one at 3-2.
• Tymkowicz put the game out of reach at the 78:30 mark with her first collegiate goal.
• Tymkowicz took a cross from Annie Thoresen and scored it from the right side of the net.
• Stephanie Stevens recorded her first goal of the year late in the game after the Bearcats fouled Augustana inside the box for a penalty kick.
• Stevens took full advantage of it, making it a 5-2 match in favor of the Vikings.
• Augustana posted a season-high 15 shots in the win against Southwest Baptist.

I Got Five on It
• The Vikings five-goal performance against the Bearcats over the weekend was the fourth time the team has scored that many goals in a game under Coach Barkus.
• Augustana last accomplished the feat prior to last Sunday's game on Sept. 21, 2013 in a 6-1 victory at home against MSU Moorhead.
• This is the first time in team history that the team has had at least a five-goal match in back-to-back years.
