This Week• Augustana has a busy week ahead with three matches in five days.
• The Vikings (7-1) open their 2014 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 16 against Wayne State at the Elmen Center at 7 p.m.
• Following the conference opener against Wayne State, Augustana will take to road Minnesota Crookston on Sept. 19 and Bemidji State on Sept. 20.
Series History vs. Wayne State• The Vikings hold the overall edge against Wayne State with an record of 22-15-1.
• Last season, Augustana lost to No.17 Wayne State in three sets.
• The first time the teams have ever met was dated all the way back to 1977, with the Vikings losing 1-2 in three sets.
• The teams had their lone tie in 1981 with each taking a game on the other.
• Dating all the way back to 1982, Augustana won 18-straight matches before losing 1-3 in 2005.
vs. Minnesota Crookston • The Vikings hold the upper-hand against UMC with an overall record of 11-1.
• Augustana won 10 straight matches beginning in 2003.
• The Vikings lost for the first time in school history last season in three sets (35-37, 23-25, and 19-25) at Crookston.
vs. Bemidji State• Augustana is 17-3 all-time against the Beavers.
• The Vikings have beat Bemidji State the past two years in three sets.
• First time Augustana lost to BSU was in 1983 by a score of 0-2, which was followed by 10 straight wins in head-to-head matchups.
• The Vikings are 4-0 playing at home against the Beavers, and 4-1 on the road.

NSIC Challenge Recap• The Vikings remained undefeated in the NSIC Challenge with a 4-0 performance this past weekend.
• Missouri Western State was the first team to take the Vikings into a fifth set this season, but a strong offense by Augustana was key in capping the set 15-11, and winning the match.

Courtney Ysker led Augustana with 54 kills in the four games.

Ashley Wilson had a career-best 18 kills, which tied the most by a Viking this season.
• Wilson recorded a career-best .552 (18-2-29) attack percentage against The Griffons.
• Wilson was second in the tournament in attack percentage, averaging .417 over the four-game tournament.

Marissa Johnson recorded two double-doubles in the first two matches.
• Johnson's 35 assists and 12 digs against Northwest Missouri State, and 36 assists and 13 digs against Missouri Western helped push the Vikings to a 2-0 record for the first day of the tournament.
• Johnson handed out a team-best 108 assists in the two-day event.
• Day two of the NSIC Challenge saw Augustana beat Fort Hays State and South Dakota School of Mines in straight sets in both matches.
• Wilson was named all-tournament MVP for her dominant performance in the four games she played in.
• Ysker and Banks were also named all-tournament team, followed by nine different players from the tournament.
• Ysker grabbed her second all-tournament team honors this season, with the first honors coming two weeks ago the Oredigger Classic.
