This Week• Augustana opens the 2014 season with a trip to Golden, Co. for the Oredigger Classic.
• The Vikings are playing four matches on Friday and Saturday, two each day.
• On Friday, the Vikings square off with Northwest Nazarene at 2 p.m. (CST)
• After a short break, Augustana will face Colorado Christian at 8:30 p.m.
• Saturday afternoon, the Vikings will match up against Grand Valley State at 3 p.m.
• Finally, closing out the tournament, Augustana will play Colorado School of Mines at 7:30 p.m.
Series History• Augustana faced Northwest Nazarene University in the '09-'10 season and looks to redeem themselves after losing 3-1.
• The Vikings played Colorado Christian University two seasons ago in the Black Hills State Tournament winning 3-1.
• Dating all the way back to the '08-'09 season, Augustana faced off aganist Grand Valley State University in the Colorado Premier Tournament winning a close match 3-2.
• The last time the Augustana Volleyball team played in the Oredigger Classic was the 2010-11 season playing Colorado School of Mines losing 3-1.
The Rocky Mountains•Friday and Saturday's game marks the second time Augustana Volleyball have played in Colorado.
• The '10-'11 season was the first time the Vikings headed to Colorado to play in the Oredigger Classic leaving with a 2-2 overall record.
• This time around, the team is looking to redeem themselves.
Preseason Tournaments• The Vikings are entering their 12th preseason tournament.
• Compiling a 34-21 overall record.
Following the Oredigger Classic• Augustana's second non-conference tournament will be playing host for the second annual NSIC Challenge.
• Augustana and the University of Sioux Falls welcome six teams.
• The Vikings will face Fort Hays State, SD School of Mines & Technology, Missouri Western State, and Northwest Missouri State.
Returning a strong outside• Returning to the 2014 roster are outside hitters

Ivy Pearson.
Ysker• On the offensive side, senior Ysker returns to the 2014 lineup.
• Ysker appeared and started all 30 matches playing in 103 sets in the 2013 season.
• Finished 2013 season second on team with 413 kills, and 361 digs.
• Fininshed season ranked 16th in NCAA Division II in points per set (4.53) and 19th in kills per set. (4.01)
• Named American Volleyball
• Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American honorable ention,All-Central Region honorable mention, and First Team All-NSIC
Cech• Started all 30 matches, playing in 103 sets last season.
• Third on team with 238 kills (2.31/per set), and third with 339 digs. (3.29 per set)
• Reached double digits on 21 occasions, and recorded five double-doubles.
Pearson• Appeared in 19 matches, playing in 40 sets.
• Finished season with 10 digs, and four service aces.
