This Week
• The No. 16 Vikings (11-3) (4-2 NSIC) continue Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Friday, Oct. 3  against Minnesota State Moorhead with a start time of 7 p.m.
• Following Friday's matchup against MSU Moorhead, Augustana will take on No. 24 Northern State with a start time of 3 p.m.
• Both matches will be held in the Elmen Center.

Series History 

       vs. MSU Moorhead
• The Vikings hold the upper-hand against the Dragons with an overall record of 17-6.
• Augustana has won the past two straight years in five-set wins.
• The Vikings lost in 2011 in a four set match with a score of 1-3.
• Augustana met for the first in 1983, winning 2-1 followed by five straight wins.

        vs. Northern State
• Augustana is 19-7-2 all-time against the Wolves.
• The Vikings have played Northern State the past nine years with a overall record of 10-4 in conference play.
• First time Augustana lost to NSU was back in 1974 with a score of 0-2.
•The Vikings have won 11 straight matches, dating all the way back to 1983.
• Augustana is 6-4 playing at home against the Wolves, and 7-1 on the road. 
• The Vikings won two regular season matches last season, then dropped to the Wolves in the NSIC postseason matchup in three sets.

 1,000-Kill Club
• Senior outside hitter Courtney Ysker is closing in on 1,000 career kills.
• Currently Ysker sits at 981 kills after smashing 39 kills in the second week of NSIC matchups. 
• Only 19 kills separating Ysker from joining the "1,000 -Kill Club"
• Replicating her output of 413 kills in the 2013 season, Ysker will reach 1,189 career kills ,placing her four kills behind No. 9 on the kills list, Holly Hafemeyer.
• Ysker is averaging 3.80 kills/set in the 2014 season and is currently ranked fifth in the NSIC.
• Ysker recorded a season-best 24 kills and team-best 16 digs against Bemidji State (9/20)

Respect from their peers
• In the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Vikings were selected to finish sixth in the 16-team conference.
•Seven-time defending national champion Concordia St.Paul was the unanimous No. 1 pick.
• All top six teams, including Augustana, are ranked in the AVCA Preseason Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
• The Vikings earned the No. 16 spot in week four of the AVCA Preseason Top 25 Coaches' Poll, their first time being ranked since 2009.
