Augustana brings an eight-game winning streak into Saturday night's match-up with Wayne State

No. 2 Augustana set to close-out calendar year with Wayne State on Saturday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 2 Augustana University men's basketball (8-1, 5-0 NSIC) will close-out the calendar year on Saturday, Dec. 19, hosting Wayne State (2-7, 1-5 NSIC). The Vikings and Wildcats will tip-off at 6 p.m. at Sioux Falls Arena in the final game of 2015. Saturday night's game will be the second meeting between the two teams this season.
 
Augustana and Wayne State met on Nov. 23 in Wayne, Neb. and the Vikings opened NSIC play with a 94-69 win over the Wildcats. The Vikings are 25-14 all-time against Wayne State and have won five straight meetings over the Wildcats.

• Augustana picked up a pair of wins on the road last weekend, defeating Bemidji State 91-61 on Friday night before going to Minnesota Crookston and earning a 92-60 victory over the Golden Eagles
• At BSU on Friday, Augustana saw 11 different players score, including six players with eight or more points
Casey Schilling led the Vikings with 21 points and a game-high eight rebounds
• The Vikings shot 50 percent from the field (30 of 60) and knocked down 10 of 19 (52.9 percent) from 3-point range
