No. 1 seed Augustana set to take on No. 4 seed Minnesota Duluth at Sanford Pentagon on Sunday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 1 seed Augustana men's basketball continues play in the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament taking on North Division No. 4 seed Minnesota Duluth in the quarterfinals. The Vikings (27-2) and Bulldogs (16-13) will tip-off on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at the Sanford Pentagon.
 
Augustana, ranked sixth in the country and No. 1 in the NCAA Central Region, opened the tournament with a 97-79 win over Bemidji State on Wednesday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. Minnesota Duluth hosted Winona State on Wednesday and advanced to the quarterfinals with a 67-64 victory over the Warriors.
 
Augustana improved to 4-6 all-time in the NSIC Tournament with its win over Bemidji State and advances to the quarterfinals for the third straight year.

The Vikings and Bulldogs will meet for the second time this season. Augustana defeated Minnesota Duluth 95-69 on Jan. 17 in Duluth, Minn. The all-time series between the Vikings and Bulldogs is tied at 12 games apiece. Augustana has won seven of the last eight games between the two teams, including four straight.
 
Augustana captured three of the four player of the year awards and had three first team and one second team selection to the 2014-15 All-NSIC teams. Daniel Jansen was named the league's player of the year and earned first team All-NSIC for the second straight season. Casey Schilling earned his second straight All-NSIC first team honor while also being named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year. Jordan Spencer earned freshman of the year and second team all-NSIC honors. Junior Alex Richter was named All-NSIC First Team.
