SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana football is set to open the 2015 season on the road on Saturday, Sept. 5, when the Vikings head north to take on Bemidji State University. Kickoff in the season-opening game for both teams is set for 6 p.m. at Chet Anderson Stadium on the Bemidji State campus.
The Vikings enter the 2015 season under the direction of third-year head coach
Jerry Olszewski who led the Vikings to a 6-5 record, the first winning season since 2011.
Augustana returns seven All-NSIC performers from last season, including second team selections

Lucas Wainman and Honorable Mention selections

Jason Greenway.
Saturday's game will be the eighth meeting between Augustana and Bemidji State. The Vikings lead the all-time series 5-2 over Bemidji State. Augustana and Bemidji State last met on Sept. 21, 2013, a 24-0 victory for the Vikings at Kirkeby Over Stadium. The Vikings have not played in Bemidji, Minn. since Sept. 11, 2010, a 10-0 victory for Augustana.
For the second straight season, Augustana will open the season on the road. The Vikings have not played back-to-back season-openers on the road since the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
