SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - No. 19 Augustana volleyball (11-2, 4-1) prepares for a weekend trip to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference powers, No. 3 Concordia-St. Paul (9-3, 4-1) and Minnesota State (9-4, 3-2) on Friday and Saturday.

The Vikings are coming off a week that saw them go 3-0, with victories over two American Volleyball Coaches Association Top-25 members in then No. 5 Wayne State and No. 22 Winona State. Augustana jumped from No. 22 in last week's AVCA Top-25 to No. 19 this week.

Junior Right Side Hitter Dani Magdzas, is having a breakout 2015 season for the Vikings. Magdzas currently leads Augustana in kills with 130. She had a career high in kills with 15 against No. 5 Wayne State, Sept. 22. For an encore she matched her career high three days later against Upper Iowa. Magdzas is currently hitting .306, second on the team, while also grabbing 13 digs with 17 total blocks on the season.

So. libero Tahlyr Banks continues to impress defensively, leading the NSIC in digs with 292 as well as digs per set average at 6.35. Her 6.35 digs per set average ranks her No. 2 in all of Division II. Banks 50 digs against Washburn on Sept. 4 is still the most in the NCAA in a five-set match this season.  

Junior Ivy Pearson has been in a grove of late, grabbing the team's second double-double of the season Sept. 26 against Winona State. Pearson earned 12 kills and 16 digs against the Warriors. Last week Pearson totaled 22 kills and 44 digs. She grabbed a career high 20 digs Sept. 22 against then No. 5 Wayne State.

Augustana will take on Concordia for the 21st time in program history. The Vikings are 1-19 all-time against the Golden Bears with this being the 14th consecutive meeting where Concordia has been ranked inside the AVCA Top-5. Augustana fell to Concordia in three sets last season.

This will be the 59th match-up between Augustana and Minnesota State. Augustana holds a 31-27 series advantage over the Mavericks, with the Vikings winning three of the last four matches.
