Augustana set to square-off with Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State Friday and Saturday

No. 2 Augustana heads to Minnesota for a pair of NSIC South Division match-ups

The Vikings travel to Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State this Friday and Saturday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 2 Augustana University men's basketball (11-1, 8-1 NSIC) will hit the road for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division match-ups this Friday and Saturday. The Vikings will open the two-game trip in St. Paul, Minn. taking on Concordia-St. Paul (3-10, 0-7 NSIC) on Friday, Jan. 8, at the Gangelhoff Center at 8 p.m. Augustana will then take on Minnesota State (10-3, 5-2 NSIC) at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Taylor Center in Mankato, Minn.
 
Augustana enters the weekend riding an 11-game winning streak, including eight straight in NSIC play. The Vikings have averaged 96.5 points per game in eight conference games this season, having out-scored opponents by 31.2 points per contest in league play.

Daniel Jansen enters the weekend lead the team and ranked fifth in the NSIC averaging 18.6 points per game

Casey Schilling ranks second on the team and sixth in the NSIC averaging 18.1 points per game to go along with his league-leading 9.5 rebounds per contest
• Schilling leads the team with four double-doubles on the season
• Schilling was named the NSIC's South Division Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals in two wins for the Vikings last weekend
Alex Richter continued to lead the country in 3-point shooting. Richter is shooting 60 percent from 3-point range on the season hitting 30 of 50 shots from behind the arc
• Richter is averaging 14.0 points per game and is shooting a team-high 57.3 percent from the field
Adam Beyer enters the weekend averaging 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game
• Beyer went off for a career-high 24 points in last Saturday's win over Sioux Falls
• Beyer finished the night with 24 points, four assists and four rebounds hitting 9 of 12 from the field, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range
Jordan Spencer nearly picked up his first double-double of the season last weekend finishing with 10 points and nine assists against SMSU
