SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana University football will hit the road on Saturday, Oct. 22 to take on Upper Iowa University (2-5, 1-2 NSIC South) in an NSIC South Division match-up. The Vikings (4-3, 1-2 NSIC South) and Peacocks will kick off at 3 p.m. at Harms-Eischeid Stadium in Fayette, Iowa.
 
Saturday's game will be the 10th all-time meeting between Augustana and Upper Iowa. The Vikings are 8-1 all-time against the Peacocks. Augustana defeated Upper Iowa 41-20 last season at Kirkeby-Over Stadium behind Matt Heller's 169-yard, two-touchdown performance. The Vikings are 4-1 all-time against Upper Iowa on the road.
 
Augustana enters Saturday's game averaging 41.9 points per game and 492.4 yards of total offense, which ranks fifth in the NSIC. The Vikings' passing attack, led by senior quarterback Trey Heid, is averaging a league-best 331.1 yards per game, which is the eighth-best in the country. Heid leads the NSIC in passing yards (2,180) and passing touchdowns (24) and ranks second in the nation averaging 378.1 yards of total offense per game.
 
Matt Heller leads the league with 11 touchdown catches in 2016, which gives him 28 for his career. He is just seven touchdown catches shy of the all-time record at Augustana.
 
Upper Iowa is averaging 451.7 yards of offense and 27.8 points per game in 2016. The Peacocks have allowed 424.4 yards and 28.8 points per game on the year.
 
Augustana's defense is led by sophomore linebacker Kirby Hora, who currently leads the NSIC in tackles. Hora is averaging a league-high 10.7 tackles per game which ranks 15th in the country. He also leads the NSIC in solo tackles averaging 5.9 solo stops per contest.
