No. 25 Augustana set to host Peru State on Friday at the Elmen Center

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 25/12 Augustana University men's basketball (4-1) returns to action on Friday, Nov. 25 taking on Peru State College at the Elmen Center. The Vikings and Bobcats (4-3) will tip-off with a Black Friday special at 4 p.m.
 
Friday's game marks Augustana's third in the last nine days and the last non-conference tilt for the Vikings until taking on Doane at the Elmen Center on Monday, Dec. 19. Augustana is coming off of a 94-87 overtime win in its NSIC opener against Wayne State on Monday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. 

LAST TIME OUT
• Augustana opened Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Monday night with a 94-87 overtime win over Wayne State at the Sioux Falls Arena
Steven Schaefer converted a 3-point-play with 54 seconds remaining in the game to tie things up and eventually send the game to overtime
• The Vikings then outscored Wayne State 8-1 in overtime to pick up the 94-87 win
• Monday night's game saw 63 fouls called between both teams
• The victory gave Augustana its 30th straight win at the Sioux Falls Arena
Jordan Spencer led the Vikings with 23 points, nine assists and four rebounds registering his second straight 20-plus point performance 
• Augustana had four players in double-figures in the win over the Wildcats and 10 different players scored
Adam Beyer pitched in with 10 points and seven rebounds while Mike Busack put up 14 points and six boards
• Schaefer finished the night with 10 points and a career-high five rebounds

ABOUT PERU STATE
• Peru State enters Friday's game with a record of 4-3 on the season
• The Bobcats are coming off an 87-60 win over Culver-Stockton College last Saturday
• Peru State is averaging 80.5 points per game on the season while allowing 76.7
• Peru State is shooting 43.8 percent from the field as a team, including 37.7 percent from 3-point range
• The Bobcats have shot 70.4 percent from the free throw line in 2016-17
• Lyle Hexom leads Peru State in scoring (18.1 ppg) and rebounding (9.0 rpg)

SERIES HISTORY
• Friday's game will be the third ever meeting between Augustana and Peru State
• This will be the first meeting between the two teams in 10 seasons

AUGUSTANA IN OVERTIME
• Augustana defeated Wayne State in overtime on Monday night in the NSIC opener at the Sioux Falls Arena 
• With the win, Augustana improved to 27-19 all-time in overtime contests
• The overtime game marked Augustana's first since a 67-65 win over Northern State in the semifinals of the NSIC Tournament at the Sanford Pentagon on March 2, 2015

• Spencer leads the NSIC and currently ranks 16th in the country averaging 6.8 assists per game on the year
• Spencer is averaging 6.58 assists per game in his career at Augustana
• Spencer is the career active NCAA Division II leader in assist average with 6.58 assists per game

• Spencer led the Vikings with a career-high 24 points at Northwest Missouri State on Nov. 17
