Augustana set for big weekend of NSIC play at the Sioux Falls Arena

No. 21 Augustana men's basketball set for NSIC South Division match-ups at home

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 21/11 Augustana University men's basketball is back in action this weekend with a pair of home Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division match-ups. The Vikings (5-1, 1-0 NSIC) open the weekend on Friday, Dec. 2, taking on Concordia-St. Paul (3-3, 0-0 NSIC) at 8 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena. Augustana will then square-off against NSIC preseason favorite Minnesota State University, Mankato (4-1, 0-0 NSIC) at 6 p.m. on Saturday. 

LAST TIME OUT
• Augustana went 2-0 last week, including picking up a win in its NSIC opener against Wayne State Monday night
• The Vikings and Wildcats tipped-off NSIC action at the Sioux Falls Arena on Monday Augustana picked up a 94-87 win
Steven Schaefer converted a 3-point-play with 54 seconds remaining in the game to tie the contest at 86 and eventually send it to overtime
• Augustana then out-scored Wayne State 8-1 in the overtime period to pick up the win 
• The Vikings returned to action on Friday hosting Peru State at the Elmen Center
• Augustana hit a season-high 15 3-pointers and got a career-high 23 points from sophomore guard John Warren in an 89-66 win over Peru State
• Augustana had four players in double-figures against Peru State, including Jordan Spencer who registered his third career double-double
