SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 21 Augustana University had five players in double-figures and scored a season-high 103 points in a 103-66 win over Concordia-St. Paul (3-4, 0-1 NSIC) in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action on Friday night at the Sioux Falls Arena.

Tom Billeter earned his 350th career win. Billeter owns a career record of 350-194, including 253-144 in 14 seasons at Augustana.
Adam Beyer led Augustana (6-1, 2-0 NSIC) with a career-high tying 24 points on 8 of 10 shooting. Beyer scored 21 of his 24 points in the second half. Beyer led a group of five Vikings in double-figures.
Mike Busack pitched in with a season-high 18 points and nine rebounds while
Steven Schaefer recorded a career-high 17 points.
Junior guard
Jordan Spencer recorded his second straight double-double finishing with 14 points and 12 assists. The double-double marks the fourth of his career and the 11th time he has dished out 10 or more assists in a game in his career. Spencer also went over 500 career assists on the night. He now ranks third all-time at Augustana with 502 career assists, putting him four shy of second all-time.
Augustana finished the game shooting 56.7 percent (38 of 67) from the field, including 10 of 21 from 3-point range. The Vikings have connected on 10 or more 3-pointers in a game five times in seven games this season.
Concordia-St. Paul was led by Ahmad Newsome who finished with 12 points. Bryndan Matthews added 10 points and four assists for the Golden Bears. CSP finished the game shooting 43.9 percent (25 of 57) from the field.
Both teams started out the game 4 of 6 from the field but the Golden Bears were able to build a five-point lead at 11-8 in fast-paced action to start the contest. CSP hit 3 of 4 from 3-point range in the first four minutes to take the early lead.
The Vikings then turned up the pressure on the defensive end and CSP went 0 for 3 during an 8-0 run by Augustana to take a 14-11 lead and force the Golden Bears to burn a timeout.
Augustana and Concordia-St. Paul traded the lead five times over the next 10 minutes of the half. The Golden Bears used a 9-3 run over the next three minutes of the game to take a 20-17 lead after two straight baskets down low by Ted Brown.
Schaefer helped the Vikings regain the lead after getting back-to-back baskets in transition. He pulled up for a 3-pointer and three possessions later, he came up with a steal at midcourt and picked up the loose ball along the sideline and took it all the way to the basket putting Augustana in front by three at 23-20 with 7:22 remaining in the half.
After CSP regained the lead on a thunderous dunk by Diallo Powell, Powell was called for a technical and Spencer tied the game at 27 making one of two free throws starting a 12-3 run that allowed Augustana to take a 38-30 lead with 3:01 to play in the half. The Golden Bears cut the lead to one scoring seven straight but Schaefer knocked down his third 3-pointer of the half and the Vikings got a pair of late free throws from Spencer to give Augustana a 43-37 lead at the half.
Augustana finished the first half shooting 50 percent from the field (14 of 28) and from 3-point range (4 of 8). Schaefer led the Vikings with 13 first-half points on 5 of 6 shooting (3 of 4 from 3-point range). Spencer added nine points and five assists and Busack put up seven points and five boards.
The Golden Bears finished the half shooting 43.8 percent from the field. CSP was led by Sam Siganos who scored seven first-half points. Three Golden Bears finished the first half with six points each.
The Vikings opened up the second half hitting a 3-pointer on three straight possessions to start the half to build a 12-point lead at 52-40. CSP's Powell answered a Spencer three with one of his own to stop the bleeding but the Vikings went on to score eight straight so stretch their lead to 60-45 with 14:14 to play.
CSP cut the lead back down to 10 after getting six straight points from OC Omoregie but the Vikings kept attacking the rim going on a 13-4 run (scoring 10 of the next 14 points in the paint) to push the lead up to 19 at 76-57 after a basket by Beyer.
Augustana continued to pour it on in the second half stretching the lead up to 28 with 4:40 to player after a 3-pointer by
John Warren. Warren finished the game with 11 points for the Vikings.
The 100-point output by Augustana marks the first of the season.
Augustana returns to action Saturday night with a big game against Minnesota State, Mankato at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Vikings and Mavericks will tip-off at 6 p.m. tomorrow night.
