The two teams traded baskets for the final four minutes, each scoring eight points, to go into the locker room with a score of 38-25.
Winona State opened the third quarter making back-to-back three pointers but the Vikings responded with back-to-back layups of their own from
Logan O'Farrell and
Nicole Kerkhoff. After falling behind by 19-points, The Vikings were able to cut the deficit to 9 in the fourth quarter with the help of tough defense and a triple on the wing from Selland. Late in the fourth quarter the Viking turned by the defensive intensity cutting the Warrior lead to seven but that would be as close as Augustana would get as Winona State was able to knock down their free-throws late.
