Men's basketball begins four-game road swing at Upper Iowa and Winona State

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana University men's basketball will hit the road for two straight weeks starting this Friday and Saturday. The Vikings (13-5, 8-4 NSIC) begin a four-game road swing on Jan. 20, taking on Upper Iowa University (12-6, 9-3 NSIC) at 8 p.m. Augustana will then travel to Winona, Minnesota to square-off against Winona State University (8-8, 5-7 NSIC) at 6 p.m. Saturday. 

LAST TIME OUT
• Augustana split a pair of home games last weekend falling to MSU Moorhead 91-89 in a double overtime thriller
• The Vikings followed that with an 80-66 win over Northern State on Friday night
• MSU Moorhead's Ayob Ayob scored with 2.4 seconds left in the second overtime to help the Dragons escape the Sioux Falls Arena with the win
• Friday night's game between the Vikings and Dragons saw 19 tie scores and 18 lead changes
• Both teams had a shot to win the game in regulation and the Dragons took a five-point lead in the first overtime but the two teams continued to battle it out
• MSUM scored with four seconds left in the first overtime to take a 78-76 lead but Adam Beyer took the ball coast-to-coast and scored before the buzzer to send the game to a second overtime
• The Vikings tied the game at 89 in the second overtime before Ayob hit the game-winner with 2.4 seconds left
• On Saturday night, Augustana shot 61.5 percent in the second half and cruised to an 80-66 win over Northern State in front of 3,576 fans at the Arena
• The win snapped a three-game home losing streak for the Vikings
Mike Busack led Augustana with 23 points and nine rebounds, recording his third 20-plus point performance of the season
• Augustana forced Northern State into 19 turnovers and the Vikings turned those into 23 points
• The Vikings dominated in the paint on Saturday, out-scoring the Wolves 40-22 inside
