SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana soccer (3-1-2, 2-0-1 NSIC) enters the weekend with two noteworthy streaks. The Vikings will put their three match win streak and their four match shutout streak to the test this weekend against Upper Iowa and Winona State.

Augustana head to Fayette, Iowa on Friday, Sept. 22 to take on Upper Iowa at 3 p.m. to open the weekend. The Vikings return home on Sunday, Sept. 22 to battle the Warriors of Winona State at 1 p.m.

Scouting Upper Iowa
The Peacocks are 1-3-1 (1-1-1 NSIC) and picked up their first win of the season last week against Minnesota Crookston. Last season, Upper Iowa went 8-10 (7-8 NSIC) and finished
13th in the NSIC.

Upper Iowa leads the all-time series against Augustana 5-3-2, but the Vikings have won the last two of the last three meetings (2-0-1) and has outscored UIU 6-1 in those matches. Augustana defeated Upper Iowa last season, 3-0, in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Sept. 23, 2016.

Scouting Winona State
The Warriors are 2-3-1 (1-1-1 NSIC) on the season and will take on Wayne State on Sept. 22 before taking on the Vikings. Last season, Winona State went 8-9-1 (14-0-1 NSIC) and
finished 11th in the NSIC.

Winona State holds an 11-4 series edge over Augustana, but the Vikings have won the last four meeting, all by 1-0 scores. Augustana defeated Winona State last season in Winona, Minn., 1-0, on Sept. 25, 2016.
