SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – At least two streaks remain for the Augustana men's basketball team as they enter the final homestand of the season; the same five Vikings started all 24 games, and the team split every conference weekend of the season, winning one game and losing another.

The Vikings look to snap the later streak this weekend, when they host Sioux Falls on Friday and Southwest Minnesota state on Saturday, both a the Sioux Falls Arena. As we already know, the Vikings split with these teams on the final weekend of the calendar year, winning 89-78 at SMSU on Dec. 30, before falling in overtime at Sioux Falls on New Year's Eve by the score of 70-61.

The split last weekend came with a 70-60 loss at Minnesota Crookston on Friday, followed by a dominating 92-66 win at Bemidji State on Saturday. The Vikings struggled shooting on Friday, and finished the game 24 of 64 overall, 37.5 percent, and just 5 of 21 from long range, 23.8 percent. The only Augie player in double figures, Marcus Asmus finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds for his team-leading fifth double-double of the season.

The shooting improved greatly on Saturday against the Beavers, as the Vikings led by 10 points at halftime, and then outscored the hosts 44-28 in the second half to secure the win. John Warren set the pace by notching career-highs with 32 points and with 14 rebounds.

Augustana closes the regular season next weekend on the road, with games at Winona State on Friday, and at Upper Iowa on Saturday. The split in this series came with a win over Upper Iowa on Jan. 19, and a loss to Winona State on Jan. 20, both at the Sioux Falls Arena.
