SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana women's golf team tees off for the final time this fall season when it competes in the DII National Championships Fall Preview at The Country Club of St. Albans in St. Albans, Missouri,
The Opponents
13 teams will compete at the DII National Championships with Augustana the only NSIC school competing in Missouri. McKendree, West Texas A&M, Limestone, St. Mary's, SW Oklahoma State, Grand Valley, Illinois Springfield, Henderson State, Cal State San Marcos, Quincy, Missouri S&T and the host Lindenwood are all slated to compete.
The Vikings
With three top-two place finishes in the fall season, the Vikings will look to finish out the season on a high note at the DII National Championships Fall Preview. The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 on Tuesday.
In its last event, Augustana tied for ninth place in a field of 22 teams with a two-round score of 624. Individually, Alex Stone continued to have a successful fall season after she tied for 12th place with a final score of 150. Hannah Hankinson and
Natalie Young tied for 26th place after shooting a two-round score of 154.
Annemarie Fisher and
Sydney Weber rounded out the team scoring for Augustana. Fisher tied for 78th place with a score of 166 and Weber tied for 112th place after a two-round score of 183.
Golfer To Watch
Alex Stone leads the team with two tournament victories. The junior shot a career-low and team-low three-under-par at 69 at the Golden Bear Classic earlier this season.
