11/11/2019 3:17:00 PM

INDIANAPOLIS – The Augustana football team moved up to No. 5 in the most recent Super Region Four Poll announced by the NCAA Monday. With one game remaining in the regular season, Augustana is in a win-and-in position for the NCAA Division II Playoffs.

That win would come against Southwest Minnesota State on Senior Day Saturday inside Kirkeby-Over Stadium where Augie is a perfect 5-0 this year. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.

The Vikings prevailed 26-25 this past Saturday at Winona State, who was ranked No. 9 in last week's poll, to improve their record to 8-2. Augustana is now on a five-game winning streak, the longest since the 2015 season, the last year the Vikings qualified for the playoffs.

Super Region Four is made up of the 41 teams from the NSIC, Great Northwest Athletic Conference, Lone Star Conference and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The top seven seeds earn a berth to the DII playoffs. The NCAA Division II Football selection show is set to air on NCAA.com on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m.

Tickets to Saturday's game can be purchased here.
