BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana junior Tyler Riemersma is the NSIC South Division Player of the Week after averaging a double-double the conference announced Tuesday.
                                                                                                         
The native of Bloomington, Minnesota, averaged 13.5 points and 10.0 rebounds over a pair of Vikings' victories last week. He went off for 20 points and 16 rebounds in Augie's win at Wayne State to open NSIC action. He scored 11-straight points in the second half that pushed the Vikings to victory.
 
He shot 62.5 percent from the field over the two games, which also included a nonconference win over Nebraska Christian.
 
Augustana opens the home portion of the NSIC schedule Friday and Saturday inside the Sanford Pentagon. On Friday, the Vikings host Winona State at 7:30 p.m. while welcoming Upper Iowa on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. To purchase tickets, head to GoAugie.com/Tickets.
