SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Augustana Athletics is proud to announce that the $20,000 goal for the 4th annual 200 for 200 campaign has been surpassed for the first time. A total of 93 donors gave $20,433 to support women's athletic programs at Augustana University.
"We are thrilled that so many donors recognize the excellence of Augustana athletics and especially our women's sports programs," said athletics director
Josh Morton. "By exceeding our goal they are making sure that excellence continues at Augustana."
The annual digital fundraising campaign benefits Viking women's athletic programs by cultivating former student-athletes and friends of Augustana to donate an amount between $1 and $200 during a two-week period in March. Supporters choose donation amounts that have a personal meaning to them, such as the number they played under or the year they graduated. Donations are then directed to specific programs to enhance the student-athlete experience.
Altogether, the
200 for 200 campaign has raised over $65,000 through four years. Augustana Athletics would like to thank our generous donors for their support of this great initiative.
