Augustana Soccer Announces 2019 Regular Season Schedule

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- With the Spring schedule wrapped up and with the school year winding down, the Augustana soccer team has announced their 2019 schedule for the fall season. 

Fans interested in purchasing season tickets or joining the A-Club for the 2019 season can fill out an interest form on GoAugie.com and Augustana Athletics staff will get back to them promptly.

Head coach Brandon Barkus enters his 14th season at the helm for the Augustana soccer team. The Vikings made their fifth NCAA tournament appearance in school history and the fourth in the last five years after finishing third in the NSIC regular season standings in 2018.

Augustana opens their 2019 season with a home match against Fort Hays State on September 6 at 5:00 PM and follow it up with a match against Central Missouri on September 8 at Morstad Field.

The following weekend, the Vikings travel to Maryville, Mo. to take on Northwest Missouri State on September 15. Augustana stays on the road and kicks off NSIC play on September 20 against SMSU before facing off with rival Sioux Falls on September 22. 

On September 27, the Vikings return home for a weekend pair of games against U-Mary on the September 27 and Minot State on the September 29. Augustana heads to Minnesota the following weekend to take on Minnesota Duluth on October 4 and St. Cloud State on October 6.

A four-game home stand begins on October 11 against Winona State, while October 13's game will be played against Upper Iowa. Northern State and MSU Moorhead come to town the following weekend for games on October 18 and 20. 

Augustana heads to Minnesota yet again for a three-game stretch as they will take on Minnesota Crookston on October 25, Bemidji State on October 27, and Minnesota State on November 1. The Vikings play host to Concordia-St. Paul on November 3 and have a single game the following weekend against Wayne State on November 8 to wrap up the regular season.
