TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- The postseason awards continue to roll in for No. 15 Augustana Softball. After earning multiple honors from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference early in May, five Vikings have been named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Central region teams.

Shannon Petersen (C), Maggie Kadrlik (UT) and Ashley Mickschl (P/UT) land on the first team and will have an opportunity to earn All-America honors. Samantha Eisenreich (2B) and Amber Elliott (P) both earned spots on the second team.

The 2019 D2CCA All-Central Region teams are voted upon by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) representatives from the respective area. The Central Region represents schools from the NSIC, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) and the Great American Conference (GAC).

Petersen's D2CCA selection marks the third of her illustrious career, but her first selection onto the first team. Petersen is hitting .364 with 11 home runs and 57 RBI this year. The catcher is top-three on the team in doubles (16) and slugging percentage (.642).

Kadrlik earns a first-team spot on the D2CCA All-Central region team for the second time in her career. The utility player is slugging an outstanding .850, which rank in the top-10 for a single-season at Augustana. Kadrlik leads the Vikings with 71 hits and 60 RBI.

Mickschl continues to impress in both the box and circle. The sophomore leads the Vikings with a 24-5 record and 161 strikeouts this season. From the plate, Mickschl has more than 40 runs and has 11 doubles, four doubles, and four home runs.

Second-team selections Samantha Eisenreich and Amber Elliott both earned the first all-region honors of their career. Eisenreich, who was 3-3 with three RBI in the NSIC title game, is hitting .367 this season while slugging over .600. Just a sophomore, Elliott has splashed onto the scene with 17 wins, a 1.67 ERA and a career-high 128 strikeouts.

The Vikings are making their third straight appearance in the NCAA tournament and open up central region play on Thursday vs. Missouri Western.
